For Manatee County commissioners, it's all about the guns, not gun safety.
A revised version of a proposed resolution declaring June 2 as National Gun Violence Awareness Day in Manatee County adds a reference to the county’s self-declared and entirely meaningless status as a “2nd Amendment sanctuary” and a new definition of what that actually might mean. The county commission is scheduled to vote on the resolution on Tuesday.
