The Manatee County Commission on Tuesday will consider adopting a resolution recognizing Friday, June 2, as National Gun Violence Awareness Day in Manatee County, joining a national campaign — remember to “wear orange” — to raise awareness about a critical problem in the United States: Too many people are being shot to death.
