Has the omicron surge peaked in Manatee County?

One week does not end a pandemic — or reduce the need for vaccinations, masking, social distancing, etc. But for the first time since Nov. 18, the number of new coronavirus infections reported in Manatee County was lower than the week before. More than one in four tests reported this week came back positive.
