Allies of the right-wing majority bloc on the Manatee County Commission crushed two incumbent Republican county commissioners, Carol Whitmore and Misty Servia, in Tuesday’s GOP primary. Once the winners, Jason Bearden and Mike Rahn, vanquish qualified write-in candidates in November, the already conservative-dominated commission will shift farther to the right.
