Another big weekly drop in new COVID-19 cases in Manatee. Test positivity rate stays high
Almost 88,000 coronavirus infections reported in Manatee since start of pandemic in March 2020.
For the second consecutive week, the number of new COVID-19 infections reported in Manatee County dropped, suggesting that maybe the coronavirus’s omicron variant is loosening its grip. But also important to note is that about one in four people who were tested in Manatee were positive for the virus.
