Annoyance may not be enough to change Manatee County Commission. But it's a good start
If you want political change, it doesn't hurt to be angry at the incumbents.
An article published by YourObserver.com might be read as trying to throw cold water on the notion that residents upset about the Manatee County Commission’s rollback of wetlands protections and other unpopular actions it has taken during the past two years face long off odds if they think their outrage will translate into defeats in next year’s election for incumbent commissioners on the ballot. Everything from the big developer money behind most incumbents to the nature of single-member districts where only residents of a particular area can vote for a particular seat to the scourge of low voter turnout, stands in the way of change.

Your “annoyance,” wrote the headline writer, “not enough to change look of Manatee County Commission in 2024.”
Perhaps it won’t, but it definitely is a good start.
