8 things Kevin Van Ostenbridge got wrong in his latest mailer about illegal immigration
In a tough race for re-election, Manatee commissioner doubles down on the racism and fear mongering.
Manatee County Commissioner Kevin Van Ostenrbridge once again this weekend polluted local mailboxes with right-wing propaganda, addressed to “fellow conservatives,” about illegal immigration that reinforce prior conclusions about his willingness to lie, race-bait and fear monger Manatee County voters about the effects of illegal immigration in the county, just to win some votes.
Manatee County voters should throw out the junk mail, and then toss Van Ostenbridge from office.
Van Ostenbridge wants recipients to sign another petition, “on behalf of my Commissioner Kevin Van Ostenbridge,” that asks Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Florida Legislature “to call a special session to tackle issues related to illegal aliens finding their way to Florida by land and sea.” Earlier this month, Van Ostenbridge used fact-challenged and racist rhetoric about illegal immigration to implore residents to sign petitions that would qualify him for the ballot without having to pay a filing fee.
Once again, Van Ostenbridge gets a hard “hell no” from me.
